Diocesan Advent Recollection

His Excellency Most Reverent Mylo Hubert Vergara, D.D., Bishop of Pasig, conducted the annual Diocesan Advent Recollection with the Theme: Waiting in Hope to be Communities of Faith, Trust and Action last November 26, 2016 at the Sta. Clara De Montefalco Parish, Caniogan, Pasig City

The Advent Recollection for the Diocese of Pasig started promptly at 7:30 in the morning. Bishop Mylo focused on the stabilization of Basic Ecclesial Communities and faith building with trust and action. He gave the congregation some points for prayer and reflection: How have I become a servant of faith, trust and action in my parish community?

Rev. Fr. Daniel L. Estacio, Sto. NiƱo De Taguig Parish Priest, Oeconomus and Liturgical Ministry Director of the Diocese of Pasig, a Queen of Heaven Missionary Sister and Ms. Rosie Arias Sandoval, Full time Catechist of the Diocese of Pasig shared their very colourful life experiences.

Fr. Orlando Cantillon, PaDSS Director, discussed with passion the plans for the Diocese of Pasig which was formulated by the Clergy during their recently concluded recollection and planning activity.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation prepared the communicants for the Eucharistic Celebration offered in honor of +Bishop Francisco San Diego, in time for his first death anniversary. The Mass was also offered for the souls of the faithful departed Priests of the Diocese of Pasig.

More than 1,100 parishioners and guests attended the recollection. Mostly were representatives of the parishes and schools from the Diocese of Pasig. The Clergy and the religious Sisters were among the pillars of the Church whose presence magnified their sincerity to help build Communities of Faith. (by: Conrad Alvez)
